History: Hope disappeared in the crater in Sunnydale California. That Buffy and the others help to defeat the First. It took longer to find her in the mess that was left. She like her husband Javier didn't remember who she was at the time. They sent her to Texas to a major medical place to help with her injuries.

Thought dental work they learned who she was. Had the police looking for her next of kin for ages. It was Hope that finally broke through the cloud, that showered her with not knowing who she was.
